Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of BiteTrack. By using BiteTrack, you agree to these Terms.
Use of BiteTrack
BiteTrack helps users estimate calories and macros, log meals, and track general wellness progress. You are responsible for reviewing meal estimates, entering accurate information, and deciding how to use the information shown in the app.
Age Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use BiteTrack.
No Medical Advice
BiteTrack is provided for general wellness and nutrition tracking only. The app is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or weight-loss guarantees. Consult a qualified health professional before making major diet, weight, or health decisions.
AI Estimates
Before the first AI scan, BiteTrack asks for permission to send the selected meal photo and any meal note to Google Gemini through our Supabase backend. You may decline and use manual, barcode, or food-search logging instead. Meal photo analysis is an estimate. Photos can miss serving size, oils, sauces, ingredients, drinks, preparation methods, and brand-specific nutrition. You should review and edit any estimate before saving or relying on it.
Subscriptions
BiteTrack may offer auto-renewable subscriptions, including weekly and yearly plans. Subscription prices, durations, trial availability, and included features are shown in the app before purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple policies.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse BiteTrack, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload unlawful content, or use the app in a way that violates applicable law.
Accounts and Device Data
The current MVP stores profile, meal, and progress data locally on your device. If you delete the app, that local data may be lost.
Intellectual Property
BiteTrack, its design, branding, text, and software are owned by BiteTrack or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.
Disclaimer of Warranties
BiteTrack is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BiteTrack will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on app estimates.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of BiteTrack after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
